You can find some information about our institute based at the faculty of law, University of Hamburg, on the following pages.

The institute for insurance law focuses on the private insurance law as well as on the law of supervision. Our field of research are theoretically questions with an input for the practical daily work of all classes of insurance especially in the field of liability insurance (mainly D&O-Insurance, product liability insurance) and marine and transport insurance.

We organise regularly  symposia for students and other interested people in cooperation with law firms and industrial partners.
